I stayed here with my wife and daughter in March 2026 for our anniversary, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. What stood out the most was the incredibly warm and attentive staff—they were friendly, accommodating, and genuinely cared about our comfort. The food was excellent as well. One of the highlights for me was playing cricket with the staff in the evening, which made the stay even more memorable. The location is absolutely stunning, offering a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. A small point to keep in mind: the resort is about a 200-meter walk downhill into the valley, so you’ll need to park your car on the road. That said, it’s well worth it. Being just about a 10-hour drive from Delhi makes it a great getaway, and I would definitely recommend it. ~ nikhil k

The Chopta Resort is a rare example of a truly luxurious property amidst the nature. Probably the only resort in Chopta which can carry the luxury tag. It has an understated elegance. the rooms are incredibly spacious, offering breathtaking views that made our stay even more special. This property is situated around 200 meters downhill from the main road. The biggest advantage of this wooden resort is that it maintains a more consistent and comfortable temperature specially during night whereas in tents, you need to be either under the blanket or require multiple layers of clothing to stay warm. We also found the services, satisfactory and food, delicious. We wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a truly special getaway. The best property in Chopta is without a doubt Chopta Resort, which provides a peaceful haven amidst the breathtaking Himalayan mountains. The staff goes above and beyond to make customers' stays enjoyable and comfortable. The accommodations are roomy, immaculate, and provide breathtaking views of the surroundings. Particularly, the first floor's view is simply spectacular, exhibiting the Himalayan mountains' majesty and magnificence. Additionally, the resort's restaurant serves simply wonderful food, offering a selection of meals that satisfy a range of dietary requirements. The food is of good quality, and the staff is always on hand to make sure that diners have a pleasant day. Location of this resort is in unique place inside forest. From both sides of your room windows you will get fascinating view. In such a remote place the service personnel were always your service. I will mention one name: Ardeep Kumar, a very humble boy and always ready to serve your need. One thing to add: if you r real nature lover and like peaceful environment and if your knees permit a daily stress of ascend and descend through rocky narrow pathway for 500 mt from road to reach this Chopta Resort then undoubtedly you will get the best nature friendly property over here. This is the best stay that you can find in Chopta. Friendly and responsible staff, good food, great views are some of its highlights. Bear in mind that there is a steep descent from road that you need to take in order to reach the hotel. So, the stay is not advised to elderly people or for those who have knee/joint issues. Also, don't expect 24/7 hot water as chopta is a small village with no electricity and being able to provide whatever they are able to in terms of hot water, electricity and other services is a big feat in itself. I would also recommend to book all meals at the hotel as you can't find food elsewhere. Wifi isn't the best but is sufficient for basic needs like voice calling and basic browsing. Voice calling is important as there's no cell signal around. All in all, I would highly recommend the stay to anyone who have plans to visit chopta. ~ Abhijith K

We had a very pleasant stay at Chopta resort Rooms - Excellent rooms, probabaly the best in this zone and climate. Clean bathroom and hot water, very well ventilated and big window with amazing view. Honestly we were sceptical that how would rooms be but they were better than shared pictures by team. Service Excellent service from all staff. Very friendly and caring. As we were with a kid and a toddler, we really appreciate the care shown. Location One can point this as a downside for the resort but I think it's better, its quite, view is good, and a lot better than temporary Camps all over in this area. ~ Santosh S

Chopta Resort the best Resort in Chopta I recently stayed at Chopta Resort, and I must say it was an amazing experience. The resort is located amidst the beautiful surroundings of Chopta and provides the ultimate service to its guests. The Swiss tents are well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, and the bedding and washroom facilities are very clean and tidy. We had a wonderful one-night stay here while visiting the Tungnath Temple. The location is breathtaking, offering stunning views of the entire mountain range. However, please note that there's ongoing construction, and during our winter visit, the rooms didn't have heaters - only fireplaces. So, be prepared! On the bright side, the food is exceptional! Location is really great, only thing is you have to walk down around 100 steps down to heaven view. Staff is really great, they Waited for us till we arrived at the place. Also they were so kind that when we were not getting any vehicle to get back from tungnath base to resort, we all walked down the road, as soon as they came to know this, they send two 2 wheeler to pick us and they did 3 round to pick us all. This was the only resort in Chopta since rest all were camps. This has breathtaking views and I am attaching just a sample. You can see choukhamba from your bed. The food , both breakfast and dinner were really great, we stayed there for 3 nights and they did not repeat any vegetables. Breakfast fruits and poha and bread pakoda all were delicious. They also provided tea or coffee 2 times a day when I asked. Lastly, a special shoutout to Roshan who is the manager who is extremely helpful. ~ Monalisa D

We had great stay here. Arvind Sir (chef) and other staff were extremely hospitable and sweet. Food here is delicious and served hot. Heater works well. Only issue is the accessibility of this hotel. You have to walk, trek 200 meters to reach here from bugiyal (main car parking road). This trek is tricky for anyone, so reaching and leaving from hotel was difficult. Staff helped us with luggage, however you have to climb up and down by yourself. ~ Ronak M

We had a wonderful stay at Chopta Resort. The weather was pleasant and added to the charm of the location. The staff was friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. The resort is around 250 meters from the road, but the walk is easy and completely manageable, especially considering the comfortable accommodation and excellent service provided. It was an awesome stay with Chopta resort, i really appreciate the hard work of the staff. But a special thanks to Saurabhji who managed everything so well. We were a group of 18 and the staff was very less still each and every need of ours was taken care off. Rooms are decent only one small feedback the route from main road to resort is quite difficult to reach for senior citizens. Kindly improvise on this ~ Archana K

We had a pleasant 2 nights stay at the resort after our trek to Madmaheshwar and to proceed to Tungnath trek. Mr Ashok and his team are amazing hosts. We were given complimentary biscuits with our tea. Hot water seemed to be an issue at times. But the team will be happy to provide hot water buckets. The food was delicious and as per our taste.
